In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4, sub-section (2) of section 5, sub-section (2) of section 14, sections 21 and 22 and sub-section (1) of section 29 of the Petroleum Act, 1934 (xxx of 1934), read with section 22 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 (x of 1897), the Government is pleased to make the following rules which have been previously published as required by sub-section (2) of section 29 of the first-mentioned Act
